Cristiano Ronaldo was a conspicuous absentee as football stars thronged to grace Sergio Ramos’ wedding ceremony with TV girl Pilar Rubio on Saturday, June 15, at Seville Cathedral.
David Beckham and wife Victoria, current Real Madrid players and legends of the past were among the 500 guests who graced Ramos’ big day.
Alvaro Morata, Bernabeu chief Zinedine Zidane and Brazilian icons Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos were also in attendance.
The newly-wedded couple has been together for years and already have three children, Sergio, Marco Alejandro.
Meanwhile, despite the event uniting the football world, Ronaldo’s absence was glaring, with reports suggesting the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was uninvited.
It is believed Ronaldo and Ramos fell out after the star forward’s £100m switch to Juventus last summer.
However, the snub did not detract the former Manchester United striker from a glorious day as he jetted with partner Georgina Rodriguez and children to a family vacation in Greece.
Georgina took to Instagram to share a family photo from their private jet with her followers as they started their holiday.
Incidentally, Gerard Pique and Shakira were other famous people who did not attend the wedding despite being invited.
